Posting As Different Journal Entry Types In Sage Intacct

Overview:
Bookkeep supports posting to Sage Intacct using various journal entry types. This flexibility allows you to categorize transactions in a way that best fits your accounting processes.

Common Journal Entry Types:
The most commonly used journal entry types by Bookkeep in Sage Intacct include:

  • Sales Journal – Typically used for recording revenue transactions from sales.

  • Cash Receipts Journal – Used for recording cash inflows and customer payments.

How Bookkeep Handles Journal Entry Types:
By default, Bookkeep posts transactions as a Sales Journal type, which covers the majority of standard use cases. However, we understand that some businesses may need to post to other journal types.

Customizing Your Posting Type:
If you would like to post transactions to a journal type other than the Sales Journal (for example, a Cash Receipts Journal or another specialized journal), our team can assist with setting this up in your Bookkeep integration.
