How to Connect Sage Intacct to Bookkeep

You must have an active Sage Intacct Web Services developer license, which includes a Web Services sender ID and password. A sender ID can be authorized for more than one company and can be tracked through an audit history report. If you need a developer license, contact your Sage account manager.

Steps to Connect Your Sage Intacct to Bookkeep

1. Create Your Account and View Connections

After you create your Bookkeep account you will have a new entity created by default and will be redirected to Home view as shown below:

Click on "Connect Now" button, you will be prompted to connect your accounting platform from the Connections view as shown below:

2. Connect to Sage Intacct and Log In

Click "Connect to Sage Intacct" which will open a pop-up window where you can enter your login credentials used to access your Intacct account.

Here are the credentials required to connect Intacct:

  1. Sign in to your Sage Intacct account.
  2. From the Applications dropdown, click Company.
  3. Navigate to Setup > Configuration > Company > Security.
  4. From the Web services authorizations section, copy Sender ID.
User ID
  1. Sign in to your Sage Intacct account.
  2. From the Applications dropdown, click Company.
  3. Navigate to Admin > Web services users.
  4. From the Web services users list, copy the required User ID. If the web service user is not added, click Add. For more information on how to add a user, see Add a web services user.
Company ID
  1. Sign in to your Sage Intacct account.
  2. From the Applications dropdown, click Company.
  3. Navigate to Setup > Configuration > Company > General information.
  4. From the Company Information section, copy ID.

3. Review Your Connection Settings

  1. Upon successful completion of the previous steps, your connection will be displayed under "Connections/Accounting," which gives you a few options:

  • Refresh: This button is useful when importing newly created accounts or dimensions in your Intacct which will be available for mapping to your connected apps.
  • Test: This button will test if the Intacct connection is still operating and functional.
  • Delete: This button allows you to delete the connection between Bookkeep and the corresponding Intacct account.

After completing these steps, you will need to connect your apps if you wish to start posting your financial data to your Intacct account.

You can choose to skip connecting accounting and still connect your apps to bring the data into Bookkeep and preview it without posting to accounting. If you do so, you will not be able to map the incoming financial data to your accounting platform accounts until this accounting connection is established.
